Thema ToPé Meets Man Ray And The Indians Of Curtis 1 2016
In de serie ToPé meets Man Ray and the Indians of Curtis (2015–2016) breng ik een hommage aan twee 'jeugdhelden': Man Ray (1890–1976) fotograaf en kunstenaar en Edward S. Curtis (1868–1952) fotograaf en etnoloog.
In de eerste 29 beelden van deze serie breng ik foto’s van deze twee kunstenaars samen met mijn eigen grafische werk. Het is daarbij niet mijn intentie om mijn werk te vergelijken met dat van de grote voorbeelden. Ik wil de beschouwers een nieuw verhaal vertellen, waarbij de iconische foto’s samenvloeien met mijn eigen werk.
